Jacob Bridle

My designs take inspiration from the decorating pattern ‘Toile de Jouy’, which consists of a monochromatic, pastoral scene on a neutral background. The National Trust is a charitable organisation that preserves historic sites and regions. Architecture and nature are fundamental to the Toile de Jouy design, both of which are key components of the National Trust’s conservation works. I have reworked its initial production in the mid-18th Century and this assists to convey the historic works of the National Trust. My wallpaper designs specifically explore the preserved sites of the Kent region; therefore they will be on display within the receptions of those Kent properties.
