My project is focused on ‘Haute Couture’ and the techniques that are used in this sector of fashion. I wanted to create a garment that follows the protocols of the industry – creating a garment for a client, hand-sewn, focus on quality construction, etc. Throughout my project, I tried to exercise the practice of sustainability and ethics throughout the experimentation process of my project as well as within my final design since there aren’t standards for this is in Haute Couture. My final piece’s main focus is the flower embellishments that are made from recycled plastic bottles.
