My project is about sanctuary. In this project we explored our very own sanctuaries like stuff we are interested in and relate to ourselves. For my sanctuary I chose to do the era of 1980s-1990s, because I am really interested in the culture, fashion, music and the architecture. For my final outcome I have decided to make 2 t-shirts relating to the hippy culture of the 1980s, I have tie-dyed these 2 t-shirts in order to get the vibrant colours and style. On one of the t-shirts, I have embroidered a Ying and yang pattern on the left. I want whoever sees this artwork, to be inspired by the colours and the creativeness and hopefully make their own pieces of clothing relating too the 1980s.
