My work focuses on the evolution of technology through film by presenting different colours that corresponded with the time period then compared it to now. I looked at the different coloured outfits and scenery needed to create different tones in the film and how we now use colour in films and TV shows. I decided to focus on Grace Kelly because she was a beautiful young actress that was extremely talented and who I was named after so I felt like I should dedicate my work to her and have a personal connection to it. I find it easier to connect my work to myself and portray my thoughts through the art I make. I created an embroidery piece of Grace Kelly in half black and white and half in colour to reflect on the evolution of technology and show the theme of then and now.
