This art piece is of me and my nan, a merge of both our features combined into one. I've created this based on our project then and now, I used a picture of my nan, when she was roughly my age, to a picture of me now to show the differences of fashion and make-up styles throughout the years. The Materials I used for this piece were gouache, water colour paint, pencils and graphite for the outcome, as I realised while testing the different materials these four were my favorite and most effective. I want the audience to feel, while looking at my work, how the difference in fashion and make up evolved through time and changed. As my inspiration was a combination of make-up and fashion, I thought of showing it through my artwork, to see them side by side would be just as effective and intriguing to see.
