My project has been influenced by a spark in my past, relating to the theme, ‘Then and Now’. My childhood was a difficult time as an autistic child, through this time the one thing that gave me comfort was a single teddy bear. My love eventually made her fur go from fluffy and colourful, to matted and dull.
My work shows how love and time had affected these teddies, embedding the memories within the artwork. and how important they have been. You can see two strangers’ memories alongside mine.

I created my artwork through etchings. I incorporated a memory and used black ink to bring them to life. I have shown both the etching plate and the prints because the plate represents the memories and the prints releasing them. I want the audience to relate and remember their own stories.
