For my final piece I thought about what the topic of ‘home’ means to me. After creating a mind map of my ideas, I decided to create a piece that contains objects and imagery of things that I find comforting. I chose to make my final piece with a cardboard box, which was inspired by Joseph Cornell's ‘box of curiosity’.

The main materials I used were cardboard and acrylic paint as well as sponge and foil. After completing my final piece, I thought about how I would like it to be displayed. This led me to decide to have it displayed on a stand, such as a plinth, with fairy lights around it.
