My Final piece holds a special place in my heart as it is the product of all the hard work applied throughout the past two years. A lot of my work is based in portraiture, partially in pencil which is one of my favourite mediums, however I decided to use paint in order to capture the essence of this Greek mythological character, a theme that I am passionate about.

In my time at college, I discovered how much I love drawing people that I know, capturing resemblance as well as character. I took a lot of inspiration from artists like Frieda Khalo. I am particularly proud of this piece, not only do I believe I painted an accurate portrait of my sister but I achieved a believeable mythical character. My favourite part of this image is the colour scheme and makes the whole piece seem really cohesive.
