My work for this project was based around character designs inspired by plants and fungi and through my art I have shown small stories of the botanical world. My final outcome is made up of two pieces, based on the Atropa belladonna, a sculpture and an acrylic painting. My art explores the idea that although the Atropa belladonna's poison was originally used as a defence mechanism to protect itself, the berries are commonly used in medicine for healing purposes. For my final piece the work has been inspired, especially the painting, by Leonora Carrington’s art.
