For my final project, I explored the current conflict that is still ongoing in Ukraine. In the past, I have created very personal topics, such as grief and lockdown, so using something that I had not experienced myself was very different for me.

Whilst looking at artists such as Barbara Kruger and Peter Kennard I started off the project with manipulating pictures and creating a series of collages.

I have learnt about so many new mediums and bloomed as an artist since I began this course. I decided to challenge myself to create a textile piece which was a technique I had not experimented with for a while. I played around with the idea of bunting being to display celebration but mine is truly the opposite. I thought it was the perfect time to create my War Bunting alongside the Jubilee period.
