For my final major project, I created four outcomes aimed at combating gender equality issues within the gaming community. I did this by creating a game with an empowering female lead who defies all of the negative stereotypes about women in the industry. Some of these negative stereotypes include women being weak sexual objects, disposable to men. My first outcome was a logo for my game Alexandra, Midnight Rising, which was inspired by Alexander the Great, a powerful Greek leader. Then I designed the game disc box packaging, which included the packaging back, front, and a disc design. Each of these showcases a different aspect of my game concept, as well as my strong female main character. I looked a lot into sustainability throughout my project and tried to aim for the most eco friendly ways to go about designing this, looking at alternative packaging and recycled materials.
